FAQ

Can the starting number be something other than 1?

Yes — set any integer in the "Start at" field. To skip a cover page, set "Start page" to 2 and "Start at" to 1.

Can I skip the cover page?

Yes — set "Start page" to 2 (or higher) and the earlier pages stay un-numbered.

How do I customize the format?

Built-ins: "1", "1 / N", "Page 1", "- 1 -". For anything else, use the custom field with `{n}` and `{N}` placeholders.

Are encrypted PDFs supported?

Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first.

Is anything sent to a server?

No. Everything happens in your browser via pdf-lib; the file never leaves your machine.
