How to Use

1

Drag or click to upload one photo. Landscape, portrait, and square all work.

2
Pick a grid mode

Choose from 7 modes (1×3, 3×3, 2×2, etc.). The preview shows where the cuts and grid lines will fall.

3
Download ZIP + post backwards

FAQ

Why post the cells in reverse order to Instagram?

Instagram shows the newest post at the top-left of the feed. To make cell 1 (top-left of your grid art) appear at the top, you must upload it LAST. This tool numbers the cells; just post from N down to 1.

What if my photo doesn't match the grid aspect?

It gets center-cropped to fit (1:1 / 3:1 / 1:3 / 2:1, etc.). Edges may be trimmed — check the preview for where the grid lines land.

Why 1080×1080?

1080×1080 is Instagram's standard feed image size. Outputting cells at this size means they upload cleanly without further scaling on the app side.

Does the source need to be large?

For best quality use a source at least cols×1080 by rows×1080 (e.g., 3240×3240 for a 3×3 grid). Smaller sources get upscaled and may look blurry.

Is anything sent to a server?

No. Splitting runs via the Canvas API in your browser; your photo never leaves the page.
